chinese lead poisoning

Is it just my imagination or does it seem like the Chinese are trying to poison us. First there was the contaminated dog and cat food. Then there was the toothpaste. Now we have hundreds of thousands of small children toys being recalled because of high levels of lead. Here's a good idea lets stop buying stuff from the Chinese before they kill us all. Buy American made stuff after all with all the illegals the government is letting in and giving our money to we should be able to make stuff just as cheap as the Chinese sweatshops do. It may not be right but at least then they wont be robbing us of our money they will actually have to earn it. Maybe that will slow down all the illegals coming here for a free ride. This is just my opinion.

Octoberfest is here

Thats right everyone it's that time of year again. Octoberfest is upon us and that means let's drink and be happy till we can't drink no more. Make sure you think safety though and take along someone to be your designated driver. Heres a little pointer for you too on this big holiday take a can of beer and set it out overnight the next day when you go to wash your hair take that beer and use it on your hair too it will make your hair very shiny for your next night out to party again. Afterall Octoberfest ain't a one night party. So enjoy the fun but remember be responsible too have fun everyone talk to you later time for a beer.

where have all the good people gone

You know it kind of saddens me when I check on the blog my neighbor set up for us to try and raise funds to help us. See back in may we had some very heavy rainfall and it brought the hill down on our house. So our neighbor set up a blog to try and raise funds because none of the insurance companies will pay. As far as FEMA need I say anymore we know how well they work.So here we are stuck cleaning up the mess ourselves and no way to get equipment up there even if we had the money. But if everyone would just donate 1 dollar when they visit www.houseunderthehill.blogspot.com its the first link on my list on sidebar. We would have raised enough money by now to at least pay some one to come in and help us. this is no joke it's for real I was on the news and the newspaper too. I guess it's just because I believe in helping other people that it shocks me to see no one has helped. I volunteer at the VFW I chauffeur a sweet old lady home 4 days a week. I've even given friends a roof over their heads when they were without. My husband gets mad because I will give my spare change to strangers if they ask for help. It breaks my heart to see what this world has come to all the greed and thinking of only #1. Remember the old days when neighbors used to help each other even strangers could get a helping hand. People you have let the bad guys take over your world and your hearts I feel sorry for you all may god have mercy on your souls. that is if you still believe in him or have you let the bad guys take that from you too.

Pittsburgh Steelers vintage beer can

I'll tell you one thing my customers really love me down at the VFW. I was talking with one of them about a month ago and it turned out we were both Pittsburgh Steeler fans. I told him about my little collection of Steeler stuff I had and he told me about some of the things he had. Well I was called in to work this weekend so the other bartender could go camping for the weekend and this customer had called to see if I would be working or be around. Well Saturday night he came in with a present for me this is so awesome. He brought me a 1979 Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl beer can still full unopened. This can is in perfect condition looks brand new just off the shelf except of course it has the old pull tab top. I could not believe it and what makes it real special is that 1979 is when I first started watching football and the Steelers have been my team since day one. I tell you it is great to be loved. Well I have to get ready for work again tonight its meeting night see you all later.

set free

yesterday we decided to set free big guy he was our pet blue gill for over a year. he was just too big to keep anymore and I would rather see him keep growing in the wild then stunt his growth in a fish tank. so farewell big guy and stay away from any dangling worms with hooks.
