Tis the season

All I can say is I had a great Christmas I won another 200 dollar gift card on gamevance i won 50 dollars in a traffic exchange contest an I won my own TE in another contest. The only thing missing now is a new computer with Windows7 on it. Hopefully that will be coming soon. I just got my traffic exchange up and running last night. Come check it out http://www.trafficlounge.net/?ref=4 free to join or upgrade at a very low introductory offer. I even used the same header as my blog here so you know you found the right place. Well I better get back to work hope everyone has a Happy New Year and remember to be safe. We shall be having our annual poker party again this year at my house. Bye for now everyone.

catch up time

Sorry it's been awhile everyone the holiday season is hectic. We have been having fun though. For Halloween all us girls wore tutus and I dressed my Explorer as a Chevy Blazer. Then for Thanksgiving big dinner at my house. This year me and the neighbor are having a decorating contest in our yards of course we shall win this battle too lol. I know this is late but there's some things I've been dying to comment on. First thing I don't know about you guys but I'm not feeling any safer with 2 muslims running homeland security. Looks like our prez just gave all his buddies free pass to here and how conveniently sent more of our troops overseas so we have less protection from invasion now. Better stop there I will get carried away. The next thing is funny my own little joke about the Tiger Woods thing. Tigers wife had to use an iron club because Tiger was already using the wood lol. We all know it wasn't no driving accident his wife was in hot pursuit with that club eyes full of rage. Something tells me she was aiming for him and his wood lol. Well that's the basics I wanted to get caught up. One more thing as the bar turns has been stolen from me if I don't have full control of it back by the New Year I will start fresh and new under another name looks like will also have to sacrifice bartendermo my user name. Don't worry I will let you all know my new names if I have to start over. Bad thing is I had some good sites I was starting to make money at. OK bye for now Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. That's the way I will always say it.

Return of Cheech and Chong

Last night we were invited to go see Cheech and Chong live by a friend. Free tickets how could one refuse. I love Cheech and Chong their movies are so funny I've even seen some of their old stand ups on t.v. All I can say is I'm glad the tickets were free I would not have paid to freeze my ass off outside to watch their show last night. It was cold and windy they started half hour late and then it was all old material from their early days. Don't get me wrong it was still funny and they had a couple new things in there mostly from Tommy Chongs wife who did intro. I think if it would have been indoors it would have been more enjoyable and might have lasted longer then an hour and a half. I felt a little sorry for Cheech and Chong because they did their skits in costumes. After all was done I was glad to have went but glad I didn't have to pay.

RIP Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze, the hunky actor who danced his way into viewers' hearts with "Dirty Dancing" and then broke them with "Ghost," died Monday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57. Other great films "Road House" and "Ghost" Patrick was a great actor and will be very much missed.

enjoying summertime

Sorry it's been awhile but summertime has kept me busy. Where to start I've been getting some extra work done to my explorer. SO far we have put in new speakers and sanded and repainted my bumpers. Now I can put new bumper stickers on them. My poor little garden has not been growing very fast so I've been going around raiding everyone Else's. I have a new toy to play with as soon as I find a book for it. I had a friend give me a home brew beer kit. Looks like I'll be making some of my own beer. I think I will hubby try it see if it kills him first. After I attempt to make the homemade beer I think I will make some homemade wine. Here's something exciting hubby said I could have a cabana boy but I have to get a job and pay for him myself. He's so funny me get a job ha ha I will find me a cabana boy that will do it for free. Looks like I'm starting to get a harem. I now have hubby, a parts guy, a mechanic, guys who give me food, a rock guy, and a guy who gives me books. Al of them do things for me for free except the parts guy charges me half price for my parts. Life is so rough right now lol. Retirement may end up being fun after all. About all I need now is my cabana boy and a male house maid and my harem will be about complete. Well time to go turn on the charm and see what get accomplished today. Enjoy the rest of your summer I know I will.

some new drinks to try

This weekend was a weekend to try new things. First me and the captain ( Captain Morgan) played around I tried some Captain Morgan and Mt. Dew it was pretty good. Then the next night was beer night I decided to give Michelob Lime Cactus honestly did not care for it. Not as much lime taste as I hope for I still have two out of the six pack left to choke down. So while was choking them down I was with hubby and the neighbor doing their beer rescue video on imports. So I decided to brave the taste tests with them yuk I hate imports. To my surprise I found one I could drink. Love the name of it "Xingu" it had no nasty taste to it really couldn't taste nothing to be honest. So the next night the neighbor said he had a some Xingu left asked if I wanted it. So he brought me 2 he had left and I decided to drink one and this one had a hint of coffee taste to it I thought. Kind of bitter coffee so I only drank one and that's when I came up with another new drink and its awesome. I got the trusty captain out again and hubby had bought some Mt.Dew Voltage I mixed Captain Morgan and the Mt.Dew Voltage and wow you have to try it if you like Mt.Dew voltage. Well I'm going to go finish recouping from weekend bye everyone.

add one more

Michael Jackson has died from cardiac arrest. Take this one how you like myself I believe this is a good thing for the children in the world.

it's been a sad week

They say things always happen in threes this week has proven this to be true. We have lost three great people this week. First there was the inventor of the "Magic Fingers Vibrating Bed" John Joseph Houghtaling. Then we lost Ed McMahan the announcer of the tonight show with Johnny Carson. Now we have lost Farrah Fawcett one of the first original "Charlie's Angels" the television series. They shall all be remembered for the influence they have had on our lives. They will all be remembered and missed greatly. Amongst all this grief there is yet another almost tragedy that has had a serious impact on some people. A truck carrying 40,000 pounds of beer overturned in Vermont and closed a highway for several hours. The truck went off the road Monday on Route 78. It rolled over and landed in a swamp on a wildlife refuge. Now before you all cry over spilled beer here's the good news. No beer spilled into the swamp. Keep your heads up the sun will shine tomorrow until then have a drink in memory of these people who have influenced our lives. But you may not want to drink in swampy areas.

something interesting

The inventor of the "Magic Fingers Vibrating Bed," a coin-operated fixture in American motel rooms in the 1960s and 70s, has died.
John Joseph Houghtaling passed away on Wednesday at his home in Fort Pierce.
Houghtaling invented the "Magic Fingers" machine in 1958.
It caused beds to vibrate when a quarter was dropped in the device.
He moved the company to Miami in 1968 and remained its president until he retired in the 1980s.
He was 92. I wonder if he had one of his vibrating beds in his house.

OMG

Looks like I'm a grandmother. My oldest boy broke the rules and made me a grandmother before I'm fifty. If the baby wasn't so cute I'd kick my boys butt. Looks like now I'm going to have to start acting like a sweet little ole lady NOT lol. I only have to act that way around my grandchild. I was really hoping I would not have to worry about this until all my kids were grown up and out of the house. It's hard to be a sweet grandma when you are still dealing with teenagers in the house. But I can adapt and overcome this obstacle. OK enough bragging on with everything else. Last weekend I needed to let off some steam so I decided to go play some pool. Apparently I had enough steam to run the table all night I kicked butt in singles and doubles. It did help the fact that I had one jackass that thought he was God apparently and he kept trying to ruffle my feathers. Obviously he didn't know that my feathers were already ruffled. First I beat him in singles so then he wanted to play partners I said OK. I picked a friend of mine who plays on pool leagues jackass picked some girl I think he was trying to hit on. When it was their turn to play again jackass racked the balls and said he was going out for cigarette break. he could have done that before his turn came up so now I'm focused on beating him bad on the table. When he come back in we all shot our turns and it came around to him again he said I'm going out for a cigarette. I told him if you leave again you forfeit he said it's my money in there. I said it's my table which makes it my rules your money means nothing. I told him we could ask the bartender who rules table. I knew I would win if we did ask the bartender because he is my cousin but jackass didn't know that. He decided to finish the game first and me and my partner stomped them they still had five balls on the table when the game was over. OK enough for now but just in case I don't post by Sunday happy father's day to all the real fathers out there.

was it natural or suicide

David Carradine, the actor who starred in the classic television series "Kung Fu," has been found dead in Bangkok, Thailand.
There are conflicting reports on how Carradine, 72, died.
His agent, who confirmed the death with WABC-TV in New York, said that he believed Carradine died of natural causes.
But citing unnamed police sources, the Web site of the Thai newspaper, The Nation, said Carradine was found Thursday hanged in his luxury hotel room -- and is believed to have committed suicide. Makes you wonder who's lying and why. My money is on the agent lying but I don't know why except maybe to protect Carradine's reputation or maybe the agent had a life insurance policy on him. You can't collect if it's suicide. Can't wait to hear who's lying and why. I remember growing up watching the Kung Fu tv series. Rest in peace grasshopper.

Summer time is here

Well the kids are home for summer vacation or should I say out of school for summer. This weekend we went to the VFW that I used to work at for customer appreciation day. We had a blast they had games, food, drinks, raffles, and a band. We stayed most of the day won some nice prizes. Earlier this week I received another big batch of books I got them all organized now I'm planning a yard sale for this next weekend. Hopefully I will make some extra cash for gas money to go rock hunting. It's been pretty dry so hopefully river is down so lots of sandbars exposed. As far as getting website built I hate this program I bought not as easy as the other one. I may just have to buy the other one instead try my luck again. Our street is still a mess I'm beginning to wonder if they will ever get it done. It's amazing how many people can't read road closed to thru traffic. They go clear to barricade then have to back up a block to last street they passed to turn around. We have made some advancement on the hill we found our sidewalk drain in backyard so hopefully rain will drain down it instead of across yard. That way all the mud will wash down driveway to street. Oh almost forgot hubby and the neighbor have a new hobby every weekend they try a different imported beer. This weekend I had strawberry daiquiris made with fresh strawberries from my yard oh man were they good. OK enough for now talk to you all later.

early morning thoughts

Oh god I'm up before noon. Well here's whats on my mind just remember it's before noon. Have you been noticing gas prices slowly rising again Do the oil company's have our new president in their pockets? Or is it a family thing? I predict gas prices will be at three dollars or more a gallon by summer. So if your planning a summer vacation better save up extra gas money. This could put a damper on camping ad rock hunting this summer. It has not effected mushroom hunting yet. We have a new edition to our family a kitten. He is part Maine coon cat pure black. I call him little evil child he is bad. Even my rottweiler tries to stay clear of him. When he first go here she couldn't leave him alone now he won't leave her alone lol. I never thought I would own an ankle biter but he is. He likes to hide and wait for you to walk past and attack your ankles lol. Well I guess I better go make some money to pay for our gas for vacation time. That reminds me I have to make hubby check the oil and give the the explorer a tuneup.

Spring is here

No more hibernating for the winter spring is here time for outdoor stuff. So far we have partied every weekend this month. Grilling out and bonfires included on some. Morel mushroom season is here I have been out 3 times I have been successful last 2 times. hubby and the neighbor decided to be beer tasters last weekend they bought a variety pack of Dundee beer. They only liked two of the six flavors I thought they were all nasty except I did like the honey brewed one. But I don't think I will make it a habit to drink it. Right now I'm lucky to keep ten books listed on eBay because I'm so busy I love nice weather and there is so much to do outdoors. I still have to get my garden in if it ever stops raining. For right now though I like the rain it makes them morel mushrooms come out. Well time to get back to work. Bye for now.

Organizing my home office

Me and hubby went out and bought a couple new desks for our home office. March has been a very busy month. First we decided to put our offices together in a corner of the basement. We moved all my books in there the walls are covered with books. Then we decided we need new desks for office. Went to Nebraska Furniture Mart and ordered them had to wait about a month. Hubby went and picked them up the other day started to put mine together and it was missing the bracket that holds the two main pieces together. So we opened up his and used his bracket good thing his was there. So after getting mine put together he went up to the hardware store and bought some brackets to put his together no sense waiting another month for one piece. Now all this leads to most of the house getting rearranged. My son took my old desk so we moved his couch downstairs took his computer out of front room put in his room. rearranged front room, dining, room, basement, and his bedroom. Not to worry though between all this I managed to celebrate my birthday, yes I got very drunk lol. Then there was making the crafts for St. Patty's Day and celebrating it. Then there was a couple of still celebrating it's my birthday month. I ran into one of my old girlfriends I used to party with I hadn't seen her in about 6 years. Her kids are all grown up and doing well she told me she lost her husband three years ago to cancer. She's living here in town now some and her will be getting together and partying. Well I have to get back to organizing my desk and office.

February flew by

Sorry everyone I hadn't realized a whole month went by since last post. I have been very busy though. For starters I have moved my office around in the basement and I have all my books in one place now. I found another program to build my website with I hope so far so good my computer excepted it. Hubby bought us both new desks we are waiting for them to come in. We are also moving my rock stuff down to the basement. I have gone wireless with my keyboard and mouse. I like it gives me more freedom to kick back and relax while blogging or whatever. My birthday is coming up I started celebrating yesterday suffering from hangover today. Me and my daughter are finishing up our crafts for the craft and bake sale on St. Patrick's Day at the VFW. I went and bought the prizes for the bag auction. They have now gone to all volunteers at the VFW and they have asked me to help bar tend on April Fools' Day for a big get together. Well I'm gonna call it a night and get rid of my hangover talk to you later.

Pittsburgh Steelers Rule

The Pittsburgh Steelers win the Superbowl was there ever any doubt. Not from this Steeler fan. I would have like to seen the Arizona Cardinals win their first Superbowl but that wasn't going to happen playing against the Steelers. Well I have to get back to the Superbowl party and finish celebrating. Way to go Steelers.

major website malfunction

Well bad news according to my program I got for building my website is being used by someone else. So they closed it now I have to find a different web site building program and start over. Plus the fact that it's tax season again so I have to get all that stuff rounded up. I wonder how nice Uncle Sam will be this year. Once I get my tax returns done I will be back on track as soon as I get a new program. One of my favorite programs to watch "Cash and Treasures" with Kirsten Gum is back on television. Just gives me spring fever even worse. I want to be out in the nice weather enjoying nature. It sure seems like the winters keep getting longer. I have decided to take a chance and rented some referrals on neobux so far so good. I get to rent as few as 3 rentals for a month and choose if I want to recycle them or keep them each month. Plus me and my daughter have to start making our crafts for the bake and craft show at the VFW in March. Like I say I'm always busy doing something. So gotta go talk to you later.

steelers are going to the superbowl

Oh yea once again my favorite team is going to the Superbowl. Way to go Pittsburgh Steelers! Looks like I'm having a Superbowl party this year. Nothing real big just some neighbors, a bunch of snacks, and watch the Steelers kick the Cardinals ass. Usually me and my daughter are the only ones that root for the Steelers. The guys always have to root for the other team just because I like the Steelers. Just so they can mess with me. The only thing that will stop the Steelers from winning is if the refs think a first time team should win. So good luck Steelers I'll be watching and cheering for you guys Superbowl Sunday.

another day another dollar

Great news everyone I cashed in on another site clixsense.com. i may decide to upgrade with these guys I like them and the upgrade is cheap enough. Right now though I'm testing all the free ways to make money on the Internet. I am back to reading the book to set up my website I got stuck then I changed my mind on part of it. I need a different template I think it just don't look right. Not to worry I will get it figured out. Now that I have money starting to come in hubby wants to join forces. He has moved his office behind mine now he will know all my secrets to success lol. I think its time for me to get a wireless keyboard for my computer so I can set it on my lap to type. Mine reaches right now but can't move far. Right now I'm busy updating some accounts and profiles. I had to get a cell phone so I can use a phone. Why did we ever want to teach our kids to talk lol. Soon me and my daughter have to start making crafts for the ladies auxiliary at the VFW that I am a member of. We have to have them done in time for the craft and bake sale on St. Patricks Day. So building a website may be put on hold for a little while. Well enough for now back to the grindstone no actually I think I'll relax awhile and play some games later.
